VENTURE FOR AMERICA
FELLOW
2016-2018

Venture for America is a fellowship for recent college graduates who want to learn how to build a business while making an impact. VFA Fellows get training and join a startup in an emerging US City, where they live and work for two years at one of our hundreds of partner companies. They learn hands-on what it takes to build a company, while getting the mentorship, network, and ongoing support to prepare themselves to become successful entrepreneurs. I worked as a Product Strategy and Partnerships Lead at Aces Health in Atlanta, GA. At Aces, I oversaw product features from idea to implementation and developed user stories, requirements, and UX design. I also secured major strategic partnerships that resulted in new customers, articles, and white papers in addition to creating and leading all company culture initiatives.

ASHOKA
STORYTELLING AND INNOVATION
2016

Ashoka is a global organization that identifies and invests in leading social entrepreneurs, individuals with innovative and practical ideas for solving social problems. While working for Ashoka's Youth Venture team, I developed a comprehensive 'Storytelling for Changemaking' curriculum which has been adopted by 6 (and counting!) forward thinking K-12 schools across the globe. The curriculum encourages students to craft their own narrative and take ownership of their life, passions, and story. I also worked extensively on the 'Me/We Syria' youth initiative creating graphics, writing content, and developing presentations. The Me/We Syria program decentralizes the power of narrative and builds one's communication and storytelling capabilities through grassroots replication in Syrian refugee camps.

HACKCVILLE
CO-FOUNDER
2014-2017

HackCville is a non-profit, member-run, member-supported clubhouse made up of designers, makers, programmers, creatives, and the just plain curious. We share, learn, do, and support each other's creative projects without waiting for permission. As founding Alumni Relations Director, I established and curated Wahoowa, an independent network of 900+ entrepreneurial UVA alumni who stay connected within their 9 alumni chapters, mentor students, and welcome recent grads interested in the entrepreneurial space to their cities.
